Barber Shop harmony concert in Saint-Armand

Green Mountain Chorus

The Green Mountain Chorus, a group of more than 40 choristers originating in Vermont, will entertain the audience in the ever-popular style of barbershop harmony at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes church in Saint-Armand on June 21st at 8 p.m. This concert is the result of a concerted effort involving Chant des Frontières and Carrefour culturel de Saint-Armand.

Members of this musical formation hail from Vermont and Québec. They belong to the famed Barber Shop Harmony Society founded in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century. The familiar « barber shop quartet » has evolved over the years to include a larger number of choristers such as the Green Mountain Chorus whose members sing a capella in four-part harmony. These 40 singers offer an eclectic repertoire as their voices resonate with exceptional power and clarity !

Robert Grevatt, resident of Saint-Armand, and member of this distinguished musical group was instrumental in bringing the Green Mountain Chorus to Saint-Armand ! Be sure to attend this event ! Tickets are now on sale at the Magasin général de Saint-Armand. Reserve your seat by calling 450‑ 248-0958 or 450-248- 7 600. The cost of tickets is $13 or 2 for $25.
